Turkey is rapidly becoming a very important modern day conduit between East and West and historically it has always been the only country with a city that spans two continents so is very well qualified.
ISTANBUL
Istanbul was the the joint city for European Capital of Culture 2010, and as the fourth largest city in the world it has a massive appeal and history . It is a megalopolis located on the BosphorusStrait, and encompasses the harbour known as the Golden Horn.
